Sandy Damage

Sandy didn't do too much damage to Patchen Community Square. Parts of Hazel's fence next door blew away in parts. On Sunday, we worked to repair the fence and add some supports to the posts. However, it's still a bit rickety, so we're looking into what it means to replace it. As we are a GreenThumb garden, we're hoping GreenThumb and the Parks Department can help us out in this area.

Sandy Damage

Due to the storm, we've needed to reschedule pouring the footings. We were worried that the excess moisture in the ground would inhibit the cement from drying properly. So on Saturday, November 3 from 9:30 am to 3 pm, we will (finally) be pouring the footings for the shed.

On Saturday, before the storm, we did make some progress in the creation of the orchard walls.
